Guest guest
Hello- Im trying to stay calm after receiving my son's ANA test results yesterday. They came back a High with a screen of "8" and titer of 1:40. I guess this is on the low side but we have never had a positive result before. I know this can be the lyme. The LLMD hasnt called me back to discuss these yet. Also-the Pattern is listed as " Atypical Speckled" Has anyone else rec'd this result and had their doctor give them any info on it relating to lyme possibly? I read the following info during a google search: Atypical Speckled Pattern Atypical speckled pattern includes a number of ANA patterns that are distinct from a true speckled reaction pattern and which as yet have no known clinical significance. The antigens involved in these patterns have not been identified. Anti-Nucleolar Pattern Anti-Nucleolar antibodies are found in 60-70% of scleroderma-systemic sclerosis patients, 26% SLE (Lupus) patients and 9% rheumatoid arthritis patients and rarely seen in conjunction with other connective tissue diseases.
