Guest guest
I'm a member of a forum for people with CFS and there are threads where people compare their experiences with GcMaf.I have one friend who was doing really well on antibiotics before trying GcMaf, and once she started it she ended up bedridden. Many others have taken it with no side effects and only benefits. Quite a few report no effect at all. So the conclusion is that it is unpredictable. I'll link you to the forum if you want to read up more about their experiences. I've been giving my son an immune stimulant called immunozym for over 2 years. It's a very gentle medicine with no side effects, but highly effective - they give it to severely immunodeficient children with leukaemia and many tests have shown its effectiveness. My son's blood tests since being on it always show his CD57 and WBC are very high despite still having active Lyme disease. He's not had a single herpes outbreak since we put him on it so I am very happy with this solution as it is helping fight the Lyme and viruses at the same time. Where we live in Italy it's an over the counter medicine, I don't know if that's the case in other countries. > > Am going to try GcMAF for my son. But not sure at what point would be the most beneficial to actually try this--before starting long-term antibiotics, during long-term antibiotics and Lyme treatment or after he (hopefully) ever gets Lyme under control? Would it be a waste to try GcMAF before ridding the body of Lyme and co-infections? I thought this was the whole point of GcMAF in the first place; to help the body's immune system overcome viruses. But Lyme is so tough I am concerned I would be wasting our non-existent money on a therapy that would have a better chance if/when we get Lyme under control. Any thoughts on this would be very welcome. >
Guest guest
Where are you guys ordering the GcMAF? I am getting my son tested for Nagalese soon, and if the results are high I was going to try GcMAF. Will your regular pediatrician do the injections or are you using your LLMD? Guest guest
Hi , I would like to check out that link, thank you. Mason, I know of a couple of DANS who are using this but I do see on the site that you can order it directly, makes me nervous as the life or potency of the GcMAF rapidly declines and if it gets stuck in customs (coming from Europe) it could get ruined in transport. I would rather try this through a doctor's office. I am not sure how we'll administer it as we will not be able to make the long drive to the doctor's each time. If we go this route I may ask a friend who is a nurse to do this injection for me as I hear the needle is very long--not like the MB12 shots I am giving him now! I wonder why GcMAF would make someone so sick? Too much die off all at once for the body to handle to detoxify from? > > > > Where are you guys ordering the GcMAF? Guest guest
Hi! I am trying to find info on the immune stuff in English (I'm in Italy here. In Italy it is called Immunozima. http://www.dica33.it/IMMUNOZIMA/?f=xuiqpzjepzpzya (that's product info in Italian) It's made by an Italian company called Farma Valens S.r.l. The active ingredient is apparently lysozyme. Here's the Wiki info on it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lysozyme I looked up Immunozym, which I thought was the US brand name, but apparently that is NOT the same product. After some Goggling, I think you can just ask for lysozyme chloride in the pharmacy - maybe there are several brands. This site seems to explain a bit more about it. http://health.jbdirectory.com/Lysozyme_chloride It is derived from eggs BTW so presumably not suitable for the egg allergic - though it may be worth checking that, as my son used to be allergic to eggs and I think he may actually have started taking this stuff before his egg allergy went away. I hope this info helps! Meanwhile, the forum with GcMaf discussions is here: http://forums.phoenixrising.me/showthread.php?6019-GcMAF-for-XMRV-Gc-protein-der\ ived-macrophage-activating-factor-anyone-taking-it & highlight=GcMaf (This is a direct link to the biggest GcMaf thread but if you search the forum you'll find many others too) > > > > > > > > Where are you guys ordering the GcMAF? Guest guest
I have not seen lysozyme used here yet, but it does look like an interesting product. I wonder if eating eggs gives the same effect, or if the egg has to be raw or if one would have to eat a whole lot of eggs to get the same effect as the product. I have seen reports that many children with autism benefit greatly from eating eggs, but it was believed to be mostly due to the high cholesterol in the eggs and that most with autism appear low in cholesterol.
