Guest guest
I really don't know this. But, what I can say is that some docs say that their patients test positive when they are well. When they are sick, their bodies are too ill to produce the antibodies. Now, this is not absolute, in that people will vary, but just saying, this is generally the case in chronic Lyme. So, if something makes you well, it might help you test positive. I know that some feel that you won't test positive after treating, but the guys on the chronic Lyme forums often say that they didn't test positive until they were treated, and some even had to be treated for years before their immune system tested positive for Lyme. Love and prayers, Heidi N > > Would like to have the Igenix and Western Blot run on myself again to see if I can finally get a positive on any of them. Will LDN help to draw these infections out? If so, how much and for how long would I have to take of this before testing? My LLMD does not believe in drawing it out before the test and actually will not run the test if I have been on antibiotics within the last three weeks. But I believe in drawing it out and want to give it my best shot before wasting a lot of money on those tests. Thanks for any help. >
Guest guest
Thanks for the reply. I am leaning towards at least trying to draw it out with herbs before paying for such a pricey test. Anything other than LDN that could be suggested? I am taking about 4 full droppers of it a day and don't feel a thing so don't want to over-do this if it's just not the right thing for me. > > > > Would like to have the Igenix and Western Blot run on myself again to see if I can finally get a positive on any of them. Guest guest
Don't know about LDN but we did not test positive until provoked. Took azith and then off for 3 weeks. One of us Igenex positive another CDC and Igenex positive. BUT only after provocation. in Tex > > > > Would like to have the Igenix and Western Blot run on myself again to see if I can finally get a positive on any of them. Guest guest
My lyme doc said you are most likely to get positive results if you have the blood drawn at the time of day you feel most awful, which for most people with Lyme is early afternoon. The no abx for 3 weeks rule is very important- My doc actually says 8 weeks to give maximum likelihood of finding them in the blood. Artemisia is very good at getting them out of the cystic stage (where they hide in organs and keep out of the bloodstream) but I don't know if it actually kills them, or simply liberates them into circulation where abx can zap them. If it kills them too then it really won't serve your purposes! > > Would like to have the Igenix and Western Blot run on myself again to see if I can finally get a positive on any of them. Guest guest
I am new here, so I don't know what has been discussed in the past. Guest guest
is there a certain brand of Artemisia people have used, or recommend? and then is there a protocol for how long you wait to do antibiotic therapy afterwards, or do you do it at the same time. Maybe you use something natural (like Samento) to actually get rid of the spirochetes? Also can someone tell me about their experience with ABX and where to find it?AmyTo: "BorreliaMultipleInfectionsAndAutism " <BorreliaMultipleInfectionsAndAutism >Sent: Wednesday, November 2, 2011 9:52 AMSubject: Re: Re: Will LDN Draw Out Lyme? Guest guest
For me, I get a great herx from taking Samento in the morning and Barberry in the evening. I wonder if they do well together to keep the bacteria unable to morph to evade it. Just saying; they give me a big herx, so we'll see.
