I posted recently about warning about Thyroid and lyme

This is just our story, but a scary situation that, at least will turn out good.

However it sent our son to the ER. because of high vital signs, waking up many

times during the night needing lots of liquids, acne, sweating, hyper eating,

looking really sick, and a stark look in my son's eyes.

He was at risk for a heartattack or stroke, and had to be put on Beta Blockers,

to lower

his heart rate.

Today I recieved the lab results from the Endocrine DR.; show's he does NOT have

Graves disease. Which was a huge relief!

However it shows that he has too much Iodine.

So it will be monitoring monitoring thyroid levels to bring it down with anti

Thyroid meds.

Just want parents to keep a close eye if your using iodine to supplement, hypo

thyroid

as my son was hypo thyroid too.

I was using Tri Quench, you can look up what 1 drop is online;

its 19 mgs Of Iodine and 6 mgs of Potassium, per drop.

Here is the link which I found the information from.

http://thedispensaryonline.com/index.php/scientific-botanicals-tri-quench.html

Each drop provides approximately 25 mg of Potassium Iodide (19 mg. iodine and 6

mg. potassium). Tri-Quench provides a medicinal micro-dose of iodine to support

thyroid function and glandular health. It can be used if you live in regions of

the world that have low iodine levels in the soil. It can also be used as

protection from exposure to radioactive iodine.

I was told by our Endocrine DR you only need 1 mg of iodine per day

to keep your thyroid in good health. But please do check with your own DR for

your child's wt. and size.

Hope this helps others avoid the crisis my son has been in.

Hi,

I had a bad experience with a modified type of iodine I was given for my heart

condition, which made my thyroid pack up. It took 6 months to clear out of my

system and get back to normal.

I hope your son recovers soon, best wishes to you both.

If you want to read up on thyroid issues, I recently found a great website

All the best,

BTW someone on another list suggested that he appears to have Babesia

symptoms too! Might want to have that checked out!
