I have a lot of experience with NCR. My son has done 4 rounds (though nut to crack). My daughter has done 2 rounds, my husband 3 rounds, and myself (1 round). The person we see if an ND who does ART (muscle testing) and NT (neural therapy) along with NCR. In combination, it is extremely helpful! I can tell you more if you would like. Overall, we are very happy we are doing this and feel it is one of the major missing pieces in my son's recovery. Here is the website of the doctor how teaches it. http://www.drdeanhowell.com/ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7mzeDNXoYr4 Kim B From: BorreliaMultipleInfectionsAndAutism [mailto:BorreliaMultipleInfectionsAndAutism ] On Behalf Of seabluedolphin16Sent: Tuesday, November 08, 2011 4:25 PMTo: BorreliaMultipleInfectionsAndAutism Subject: Neural Cranial Reconstruction Hi, Have any of you had any experience with this therapy? Thanks, Misty

Any details would be greatly appreciated.

thank you again! Misty

I assume you mean " CranioSacral " therapy taught by Upledger Institute?  If so, we have done that one too in the early staging of biomedical back in 2007.  We did find it helpful, but not the missing key.  NCR is more aggressive and it actually moving the bones in the skull vs the spinal fluid rhythm.  C-section babies (mine was) don't get the rhythmic pressure of going through the birth canal and usually need one of these therapies.  Some babies that are C-section can experience problems with integrating reflexes(check out http://www.reflexintegration.net/index.html).  We experienced all of this -- each therapy has helped move him farther along.  He is now about 85% back to normal (on grade level - 3rd grade - gen ed) Here is what the website for Upledger says about it....... CST was pioneered and developed by osteopathic physician E. Upledger following extensive scientific studies from 1975 to 1983 at Michigan State University, where he served as a clinical researcher and Professor of Biomechanics. CST is a gentle, hands-on method of evaluating and enhancing the functioning of a physiological body system called the craniosacral system - comprised of the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord. Using a soft touch generally no greater than 5 grams, or about the weight of a nickel, practitioners release restrictions in the craniosacral system to improve the functioning of the central nervous system. Yes, he does muscle testing/what you see Dr Howell do on his YouTube videos to determine where to place the balloon, what position the body needs to be in to maximize the body's release and that should be " normal. " Results Husband: major fall and car accident injury -- helped stabilize his gross motor because it was like he had two left feet after the accidents (you can do longer lightly push on his hips and have them move -- he is very stable ) - along with changing his over sympathetic nervous system from being stuck in overdrive - he is more calm now. Daughter: she was having curvature of the spine (it has put her head back on the spinal column in the correct position and the curve has significantly lessen in 2 months). Son with autism: he has gross motor and fine motor issues - NCR has really helped with his swimming ability very quickly - integrating gross motor planning (more than 4 years of OT ever did).  In a period of one month, my son dramatically increased his reading ability (like a light bulb went on).  He was at a grade level 1.7 before school started, he is now reading 3.0-3.5 and not missing to many of the words.  He speed and accuracy have really changed.
