Guest guest
I have been limiting my 5 year old son's egg intake to 2 a day, he would eat about ten if I let him! I usually eat 2 a day myself too. They contain SO much that is really really good for people with Lyme. I did a lot of research into the " harm your liver " thing (because my husband had a bee in his bonnet about it) and this is an old wives tale. The only harm they can do is give you high cholesterol, as they do have a lot of it. But my son and I both have low cholesterol, so actually, the cholesterol is doing us good too. My view is, you can never take a one-size-fits-all attitude to nutrition, or indeed any health matter. Cholesterol is essential for making all the adrenal hormones, which are needed in colossal quantities by anyone fighting Lyme disease. I think that is why we Lymies tend to be low. Provided the adrenal glands are working properly (and eggs contain all the nutrients they need to do so) then we will rip through far more cholesterol than most people. As far as lysozyme goes, I read a web page that said they make lysozyme tablets by extracting it from eggs, but the amount per egg seemed very low. I don't know how it would compare with the amount in one tablet. And it doesn't help that I cannot find that web page again.... http://health.jbdirectory.com/Lysozyme_chloride This ius one of the sites where I read about lysozyme and it looks like a US website to me, not sure...? > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Where are you guys ordering the GcMAF? I am getting my son tested for Nagalese soon, and if the results are high I was going to try GcMAF. Will your regular pediatrician do the injections or are you using your LLMD? > > > > > > > > > > Thanks, > > > > > > > > > > Mason > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > To: BorreliaMultipleInfectionsAndAutism > > > > > From: georgiasand32@ > > > > > Date: Fri, 28 Oct 2011 04:19:14 +0000 > > > > > Subject: GcMAF--When to start? But not sure at what point would be the most beneficial to actually try this--before starting long-term antibiotics, during long-term antibiotics and Lyme treatment or after he (hopefully) ever gets Lyme under control? Would it be a waste to try GcMAF before ridding the body of Lyme and co-infections? I thought this was the whole point of GcMAF in the first place; to help the body's immune system overcome viruses. But Lyme is so tough I am concerned I would be wasting our non-existent money on a therapy that would have a better chance if/when we get Lyme under control. Any thoughts on this would be very welcome. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > ------------------------------------ > > > >
