Guest guest
Hi:-)hope u all had a greaaat thanksgiving weekened. alahmdulillah i had a woooonderful weekned, but veeeery exhausting. An islamic conventtion, over 2,000 muslims from southern cali. lotta amazing lectures. highlight for me, attended lectures by Muslim Phd's clinical psychologists, psychotherapists, spoke to em after their lecture, asked them about ACT, and if they used it in their practise etc. etc. anyway, i had a quick question. I believe this question would be for Jen and Jon? but in podcast 2, Jen mentioned ACT in Context on Facebook i believe, and if i am not mistaken she said we could post comments and ask questions there. I have been doing so, but wondering if FB is the place for me to ask questions about the podcasts or if it's somewhere else? Cos from what i c the Act in Context Facebook page is perhaps only updated when a new podcast is uploaded?wasalaam:-)-K Designs.
Guest guest
Hello, Thanks for your question. If you have questions, please feel free to post them on FB. We've had several questions but usually brief ones in that forum; longer ones and people usually email us. If the question becomes too long to answer there, we can move to email to continue the discussion. Also, you can backchannel me with any thoughts you have. Hope you continue to enjoy the podcasts. Guest guest
THANK YOU for ur reply jen:-) . actually i am just gonna those questions here, i wanted to know dr. russ harris's Happiness Trap. in his podcasts, u'll spoke about how it was translated in 26 diff languages, i believe. is it by any chance translated in Arabic, Urdu & Hindi?2. also dr. harris mentioned something like, if time permits , he will talk about how our mind has been evolved to think negatively. But didn't get a chance to explain that in that podcast. i would like to know this, and perhaps from dr. harrris , coz he explains scientific concepts in the simplest and easiest manner.3. podcast 3, john dehlin askes dr. steven hayes to talk about 3rd wave therapies and i believe similattries and difference between them and act, i can't recall the exact words. but john mentioned dbt. but i belieeve dr. hayes was not able to talk about dbt as time ran out. i would like to know about dbt vs actsorry jen, i guess too many questions. but jazakallah khair for reply back to my post. wasalaam:-)-K Designs.""
