Guest guest
I know because it's harder to swallow solid foods, my stomach gets distended, phlegm collects in my throat, and I burp more. I have atypical acid reflux, though, the gastroenterologist said. It's in my throat instead of further down the esophagus where most people feel the pain. The bothersome foods may be different for each person, so I can't advise beyond my own experience on that score. Best wishes, Kay reflux > > Â > > > > > Hi, I haven't been on here for ages, but have 11 yr old twins with bronchiectasis. We're able to control their bouts of illness better over time, but not always. My son is currently in hospital following a houseful of family colds, coughs, flu symptoms etc that of course gets him worse than the rest of us. He's being dosed up with everything they can think of and I hate it. Some time ago they said he has reflux (did a barium meal as we refused the 24 hr tube down the nose test) and he's on reflux medicine while in. We prefer a more natural medicine way of dealing with this at home(he's never complained of indigestion or acid) and I wondered if any group members have experience of reflux/natural ways to deal with it/any other opinions? Any advice would be very welcome. Thanks, Janice>
