Oh you both need sleep, and I can relate! Plus it puts your hormones out of

whack when you up past 10 PM.

Here are some suggestions to try.

Hylands~ " Calms Forte " ~ Homeopathic - you can go up in dose as needed. With

this I usually crush the tablets add a little water and have it taken at least

30 minutes with no

food before or after.

IP6 Inositol is good for calming as well but takes sometimes weeks to really

kick in,

you have to start low and work up. But you could start at bedtime, as just

another supplement. Usual dose is 250 - 500 mgs to start.

The other supplements that come to mind

of course are Melatonin, 3- 9 mgs, but the best way I was told was to give it

around midnight.

L- Tryptophan is good also for sleep, 250 mgs - 500mgs to start and work up if

needed.

I do think some of the issues sound like Viral/ inflammation that is stirring

her up, and if you can address that, things may calm down some but I know you

both need sleep so you can give these ideas a try. I hope you have someone good

to work with, to address these

issues.

Best to you both

Allie

she now is up ALL night + sleeps all day. she can not fall asleep, she will

sleep about 10 hours straight through once asleep. It has come and gone through

out the years but I could never put my finger on it trying melatonin, herbal

remedies + homeopathics, really with no luck. Now it is the worst it has ever

been, she is not only up all night but will run around or need to jump

uncontrollably, melt down, leave all the lights on, she has not slept on her own

in her own bed since she was a baby, so needless to say this is taking its tole.

cross-country lived with my mom in her apartment for 4 months + have been in our

new home for about 3 months, oh + the very beginning of puberty. She was on a

normal sleep schedule before the move. She currently is having a big viral

flare/ brain inflammation as par for the course this time of year, typically

lasting through Christmas. Regressing in all areas + increase of anxiety/fears.

I'm thinking with the hormone situation, her insomnia may max out when I am

ovulating, just a theory.

Thank you Allie. I will start with the Calms Forte as she usually responds well to homeopathics + as she has never tested for the inositol, or perhaps the L-tryptophan. hopefully we just need a little something to interrupt the plummet downward + get back to baseline. I do have a great dr. to work with, it is just so very hard to afford it right now, hard not to afford it, mentally speaking.

thank you so much for your suggestions ~ it really helps!
