Guest guest
My son is 5 months old and we live in Houston, TX...the recommended DOC band orthotist is Bob Cook at Orthotic and Prosthetic Assoc. in the Woodlands. He has apparently worked with the DOC band since 1994 when it was introduced. I have not been given the name of the Star band group my insurance uses in Houston (I have Atena PPO) yet...because my paperwork is still not processed. At this point it appears that Atena will pay for the process...but only cover me " in network " for the Star band...I can get the DOC " out of network " and pay a fortune for it. I am just rattled about the whole thing...it is my baby's head for heaven sake (preaching to the choir on that one). No one has responded that they have been unhappy with the DOC...but people have been unhappy with the Star... > > I'm new here and wondering if there are differing views on which > band > > is best.
