Guest guest
You can apply it after a bath, to damp skin - needs used with some water, so it does not sting the skin. Like areas to the legs/ or back. I would keep the oral Mag still in place while you try it. Guest guest
Thanks for the quick reply Allie. Do you find it helps with calming? How long do the effects last? Do you use it more than once per day? Guest guest
Kim Mag is great for helping the nervous system. It may not give you the results all at once, depending on what your needing to have your son calm, night time, all day? You may also want to read up on IP6 Inositol ~ its good for calming, but must be started at low doses and worked up, something to visit with your DR about. It has no side effects. As an add on of things to try, you may want to consider Calms Forte - by Hylands, its a homeopathic remedy. It really has been helpful when we needed to calm our son. I will say had to use a much higher dose too than the bottle says. Just know it has no side effects and is totally safe to use. Guest guest
Thanks again Allie. Well, I guess I'm looking for all day AND immediate calming from the mag oil, lol. A tall order. Yes, we use loads of Inositol for my dd. I've seen the Calm Forte in the hfs but have always avoided because of the lactose base. But if it works really well perhaps it would be something to consider Kim > > Kim > Mag is great for helping the nervous system. Guest guest
I met an ND who felt all the ASD kids should be on lots of transdermal magnesium, oil, bath flakes or anyway you could get them to soak in it or absorb it. > > Hi All; > Does anyone know the " proper " way to use magnesium oil? > I am thinking of trying some to help calm my dd, however we currently supplement mag orally (150 mg mag citrate 2x/day). > Should I stop the oral mag if I try the mag oil? Guest guest
Thanks . I'm going to order mag oil for my daughter. I'm a little leary though as I heard it can initially sting when you put it on your skin. Guest guest
I used some pray oil and it caused itching if I spray it on directly - works fine in the bathtub. I was going to order the gel but someone told me that stings. That person said the lotion was good. > > > > I met an ND who felt all the ASD kids should be on lots of transdermal magnesium, oil, bath flakes or anyway you could get them to soak in it or absorb it. > > >
Guest guest
What about magnesium sulfate cream? (Like Kirkman's) I massage it into dd's feet and back. > > > > > > I met an ND who felt all the ASD kids should be on lots of transdermal magnesium, oil, bath flakes or anyway you could get them to soak in it or absorb it. > > > > > >
