Guest guest
I understand, neck surgery is very frightening! I'm glad it went well and helped her though! Unfortunately, I do not have a doc that is working with me on this particular thing. I was without insurance forever and once I got it, I had so many other pressing things to take care of. Once I get out to CO, I am going to try to find a good Neurosurgeon to hook up with As for pain, yes, I have a very high tolerance. I walked (if you could call it that) with a broken pelvis for four days before going to the hospital. It comes from years and years of being in pain as a child (from TC, broken bones etc) and being told to " be quiet, its growing pains! "  It really wasn't their fault, no one had a clue how much pain I was in as I have always been very stoic. When I was 2 or 3, I tried to drink Drano. When it started burning my lips I spit it out (thankfully) and wiped it down on my chest and across my face. My uncle was babysitting but he had fallen asleep on the floor watchng tv. The acid was literally eating my skin away but rather than go to him to wake him up, I ran down the hall, fell in bed and quietly cried myself to sleep. My Grandmother came home at about 3am from work and found me with half my face gone and a hole in my chest. Then, I was in so many accidents, broken bones...they all thought I was just accident prone, clutsy...now looking back all those falls were probably due to leg weakness, " short circuits " etc, not sure why the bones broke so easy. Once I had a cast on both feet/legs to the knee, a cast on one arm and a sling on the other from all different accidents. I have no idea why my parents werent investigated for child abuse!! LOL I also have no idea why I have never had a bone scan. But, I want to say, this pain tolerance/stoicness is not a good quality to have. Regardless of if I complain of pain or let others know I'm in pain, " I " still feel it and my body holds all that. Having a high tolerance just means I keep my mouth shut, it doesnt mean it doesnt hurt me as bad as the next. Its not good. For all you Moms out there, listen to your kids, and encourage them to let you know how their feeling, good and bad  Subject: Re: Just curious...anyone else get migraine with orgasm? To: tetheredspinalcord Date: Saturday, March 5, 2011, 7:15 PM Hi , My daughter has tsc, chiari, and cranial instability. You describe what sounds like dynamic instability. Certain head positions seem to trigger the migraine? The instability has irritates the brainstem from the bony elements in C-1 and C-2. Her symptoms are different than yours, but she is only 14 :-) I hope you are able to find answers soon. Best wishes, 's mom Just curious...anyone else get migraine with orgasm? Cant remember if we discussed this or not....I dont think so. Not always but occasionally when I orgasm I get a migraine immediately. I can feel the headache coming on as the orgasm builds and if I stop sometimes it will ease back off. Sometimes its too late at that point. If I continue to the end when that is happening it is a major event. The first time it happened it lasted for several days and I eventually wound up going to the ER when I realized my BP was 230/118. They thought I was stroking out and that cost me over $10,000 so I dont go to ER anymore. I don't know if it is just my neck (fractured C5 & 6, lots of arthritis)or if it is TC related, so thought I would ask if anyone else has it. It does seem to be positional. If I have my head " forward " it does it every time so I have to be very conscious of how I hold my head (just what I want to be concentrating on LOL) My cervical MRI was viewed by a Chiari doc and he said I didn't have it and I do not think I am tethered right now. Guest guest
, are you moving to CO? I've heard Dr. Oro is a fantastic NS, and I even considered traveling to see him if I couldn't get in to Dr. Green in Miami. Patty
Guest guest
I’ve studied energy and the energy body extensively for the past 4 1/2 years. Might I suggest one possibility, based on my research. Most cultures have some sort of understanding and explanation of energy in the body. India – Chakra’s Prana Orient – Qi Even the Mayan tradition has it’s form. According to some of these philosophies… orgasm is the extreme movement of energy. The senses get overloaded and the surge of energy creates the orgasm. This surge of energy can be healing as well as just feel real good. In the female, this surge of energy is cleansing and helps balance the energy body. It’s almost like a reboot of the brain, especially if multiple orgasms occur. Stress is the number one cause of imbalance. Voicing/sounding is a practice by the ancient folk of India during such energy movement. If when this surge of energy leaves the lower body and is traveling upwards… and it does not have a way to move out of the body, it can indeed create migraines. Any high energy can do this. My suggestion… to see if this explanation is true for you…. Scream your head off! LET IT RIP! If you feel something, anything, give it a sound… whatever your feeling, assign a sound to it, and express. Ie… when harry met sally… It will move the energy out of the body and it will increase the pleasure level to new heights. Plus it will blow your lovers mind. J If privacy is a concern, grab a pillow and hold over your own mouth… it will suppress most of the volume. Side note: There are Energy Healers out there… some extremely talented, in helping move energy through the body and releasing. Another option would be to find one and see them when you have one of these types of headaches. See if they can shift it. From my experience, I have shifted migraines brought on by intense energy. I utilize a computer as well as hands on techniques. So far… with my clients, I’ve not met a migraine I cannot shift within 20 mins, completely release it in under an hour. Anyone interested in learning more, let me know, I can suggest several books. For those of you who like to research the web, look up energy medicine. jc Just curious...anyone else get migraine with orgasm? Cant remember if we discussed this or not....I dont think so. I am not sure if he sees patients for things besides Chiari but if so I definately would love to have him for a doc!  Subject: Re: migraine with orgasm/pain tolerance To: tetheredspinalcord Date: Sunday, March 6, 2011, 7:09 AM  , are you moving to CO?
