I do take cortisone/prednisone and it makes me feel much better. Unfortunately,

it does not cure an infection -it masks it. It also has many serious side

effects, including Type 2 diabetes and osteoporosis. It is a useful drug for

quality of life but must be used very judiciously.

some people are prescribed it - as it doesn't cure, only relieves severe symptoms so can be brought under control, causes osteoporosis and a whole lot of other VERY nasty side effects, i know my own doc is VERY loathe to use them, so far hasn't done so.
