Especially mild yoga. Some yoga is no more than standing with good posture and

relaxing and breathing. In fact, yoga can be done lying down in a restorative

position. Yoga helped me get through pregnancy and childbirth! There is more

to it than bending like a pretzel or building body builder muscles, although it

does help with flexibility and strengthening. I need to get back into yoga! It

would really help with my stress! My son needs to learn how to relax better

too! It might help him empty his bladder better and improve his coping skills.

Yoga is multi-faceted.

Subject: Chiari-Yoga

Hi,

I've received the ok for Yoga (very modified) from my pain doctor and my

neuro-rehab and I have a Chiari malformation. I am planning on starting as soon

as I heal from my foot/toe surgery.

What does Yoga have to do with Chiari; what is the contraindication?

Thanks -

Kathy
