And I hope this information will help somebody that is dealing with this now. In my opinion, that shouldn't always be the case. Correct, just because the Conus isn't elongated, that doesn't mean Tethered Cord isn't present. In my opinion, it never hurts to ask about Chiari.....even going to the point of getting a second opinion about it. It has a history (for lack of a better phrase) of getting over looked. If you happen to have both, don't assume that treatment for Tethered Cord will help the Chiari........it may, but that isn't always the case. Sometimes they are 2 seperate conditions seen together, but not dependent upon eachother. Brande mymocha@... > > I agree, TC is invariably addressed first.
