It is nice to know people like you that will actually do something like this to

make things right. Thanks. Carol

Subject: ADA/Bldg issues

Thanks for the rental info. If he has to bring the building into ADA compliance,

I will definitely ask for that information from them. The med place was very

nice - gave me the name of the owner to complain to and told me about different

events with people who tried to access the building who used wheelchairs/walkers

or limitations and I'm more than happy to make sure they don't have to pay the

cost of upgrades.

Go ADA! Bldg issues

Hi,

Just heard back from the local ADA office and they are sending an inspector to

the building that I couldn't have accessed without assistance. The woman that

returned my call said if what I stated is true (it is) that all issues stated

are non-compliant for a public building, never mind one that houses a medical

facility. She was great and told me a few horror stories about buildings where

the owners swore to others they were in compliance and of course they're

weren't.

She's sending me some information via attachment on federal and my state's

compliance and will get back to me after the inspection.

If anyone wants some/all of the federal info she sends me (or if anyone is

interested in NC), let me know and I'll forward to your private address. Hoping

that it's good information to anyone that comes across public buildings that are

inaccessible.
