Guest guest
While we're on the topic of using music for ACT processes, I recently stumbled upon a song that I'm finding incredibly freeing. If you don't find songs about alcohol helpful, you may want to skip this one. But maybe others here will find this useful. I am grooving with the beat and laughing with the lyrics, especially the goofy rap section in the second half. I think it works well for me because this desire to control for painful memories, feelings, thoughts, etc., this worshiping at the alter of alcohol is so obviously over the top and yet that's exactly where my mind was for far too long--believing the words. Or trying hard to believe the words anyway. And...what's really neat is the rhythm is so much fun still after all these years..hard not to dance to..the words really are just words. Rock on, my friends.
