Guest guest Posted February 20, 2011 Report Share Posted February 20, 2011 Sharyn, all, just a tuppence-worth - generally, as bronch is progressive, it changes in form as well as the area of lung it affects.So cylindrical is an earlier-stage form, meaning that's the shape the bronchi and bronchioles become in affected area.As it develops further (lots of variable in all this!) to other forms they're descriptive re appearance eg saccular = cystic.
