Guest guest
Eunice, My mom wasn't even able to take that medication. How much weight did you lose while on it? ===== Kristy http://www.geocities.com/sokokl/kristyspersonalpage.html Hoping to be a nurse soon but for now just a Medical Secretary who does a lot of learning from reading on the Net, books, my dr(s), as well as sharing my own personal experiences. __________________________________________________

At that time I weighed 168 lbs. When I cut the Glyburide in half in Dec, I had lost a total of 32 lbs. I stopped taking Glyburide in Feb 2001 and had probably lost another 10-12 lbs, because I was losing about 2 lbs per week. Eunice

Guest guest
Eunice, The reason I ask is b/c my mother is 5' 5 " tall. As for me I'm 5' 1 1/2 " tall. I currently weigh 152 lbs. As for my mom she's about 245 right now. Before she was hospitalized she weighed 241. Tomorrow we are going to try to start walking. I didn't feel like it today b/c of the weather and even though supposedly the weather won't be the best tomorrow I will be in the mood then.

I've done that with my mom especially when the weather is yucky and she can't do high impact stuff .. Anyway, good luck with the walking . I'm not much of a walker but you know sometimes I just shoot for something small and once I start my mood picks up. I notice a lot more outside that I am use to overlooking. You can check them out for 7 days out here and they are free, you can also put them on hold online, which helps. When I went with her to the doctor, the doctor told her that the medication might make her gain weight. I guess it has to do with balancing out everything that is happening in the body.
