Guest guest
Wondered if anyone has used this paint in the bedrooms? My other question is do you need to paint the ceiling as well? I heard that Chickencoop wire on the walls also blocks the EMF as many old buildings in SF have this and it was proving difficult to use Wifi in many of the older buildings, thats how they applied plaster to the walls so it would hold. Guest guest
turn off power at the breaker for sleep area, this is free and effective for emf from wall wiring as evidenced by your gauss reading with and without power. Do this for your own room as well...I never slept so good!!! try it for 6 weeks, its amazing when you aren't "buzzed" when going to sleep. check other side of the wall where your childs head is in bed, be sure it is not near power service entrance, kitchen appliances, tv ect. if necessary have child flip, feet at the wall and head in the middle of the room, check + make sure your neighbors wi-fi can not be accessed in your childs room. Guest guest
How come no dimmer switches. We're in the process of getting rid of our wifi. Really strange because we purchase an emf detector and it shows a strong signal in my son's room only, in the ceiling area. I went in the attic and there are wires covered with conduit. I have no idea what this could be. We disengaged our alarm system and our smoke detectors, but the signal is still strong. Any ideas? Better yet, can anyone recommend someone /electrician who understands emf? I've had a couple people out and they had no idea about emf. Guest guest
I got rid of my 900hz phones because they made me very ill. I know they are not suppose to but they did me. I react very strongly to EMF's. I can't talk on the cell phone for 1 second without getting ill for hours or even days (headache, brain fog, kind of like I lose the ability to think much at all, wooziness, and fatigue). Things that do this to me are all wireless phones, even the 900 hz ones, all WIFI, cell phones, schools, motels, grocery stores, cars (but not as bad), XBox 360 (but not the older Xboxes), Knect, (I am sure the WII but I never tried it yet), putting my head within a few inches of a computer, being within 20 feet of a microwave. When I had an MRI, my eyes shook like crazy and my head felt like it was in a vice grip. I have never heard of others make that complaint. I can't wear watches either because they make my wrist hurt, but I can wear jewelry without any problems. I am sure that I have something wrong that makes me more sensitive. Too little of something or too much of something or both. There are organizations and forums that talk about electrosmog. Guest guest
I have heard some complaints about things that block EMFs like paints and such because the theory is that the EMF's will keep bouncing around the room, after entering the window or door, etc. There are things that supposedly diffuse rather than block. So, my guess is that if chicken wire is diffusing, and not causing the EMF's to keep bouncing, than that would be better. They do use cork in sound proof rooms, because it absorbs sound waves. Absorbing would be much better than bouncing. I can wait to explore this cork idea more. Interestingly, I have cork flooring upstairs. Guest guest
Yes Heidi. The 900mHz phones are only supposed to be better when they are hung up and only better relative to the newest ones. If you are sensitive then they will bother you when you are talking on one. I just have that one so when my daughter is screaming I can be on the move I have her talk on a corded phone. If you can't part with your cordless phone cover with a big stainless steel mixing bowl when not in use. My daughter too is mostly homebound due to her sensitivities which can be so hard for people to understand + very frustrating to live with, especially since she is a developing child. like you she can not be in most public places with out it affecting her neurologically and having had autism all that pain and discomfort you feel comes out as emotion + behavior for her. It is very isolating for the both of us, i'd love to pick your brain as to how you cope with it. She has no clue what a Wi or X-box etc are in fact she was very confused when her friend (also 10 years old) said she wanted an I-PAD, my daughter was like " why would a kid my age want something like that, what ever it is?" (too funny, keeping your kids away from commercial tv = + homeschooling helps too ) I have moved to the "sticks" so her body can have a chance away from all that to just function without all that interferrence and she has lots of outdoor space to explore + connect to nature ( which is probably why the cork works so well, due to its untreated natural properties, it's not magical or anything, just natural. ) Spending time outside barefoot, getting out of the city is a great antidote to all the emf's we are bombarded with. I also like her to play with things made from natural materials especially when I see she needs "grounding" things like wool, wool stuffed toys, wood, modeling bees wax, choose these over plastic. Guest guest
We have the earthing sheets for my son's bed and me and my husband use the earthing pad (less expensive than the earthing sheet), which during the day we use when we work on the computer and during the night we put it in our bed (your bare feet have to touch it). Guest guest
could be some old wiring, knob and tube? original to the house??? that room could be in the original footprint of the house and the other wires were up dated with additions? what year is your home? just shut the breaker off at night that feed those wires and you should not be getting a high level if they are dead, is that not possible? Guest guest
We are going to be painting rooms in our house with the paint in the new year - have not yet. However, we do have a number of meters to measure EMF, along with body voltage and other affects of electrosmog (I don't know a lot about these - my husband has the knowledge - but let me know if you have questions and I can ask him). My husband took the meters to a friend's house and measured in their child's bedroom. They then painted the exterior walls with the paint. The measurements went down but were still high. They then painted the remaining walls and the ceiling, and the measurements are now really low in the child's bedroom. They have double pane windows, which my understanding is that they also block EMF. We have single pane windows at our house so we'll also have to put a film on the windows to block the EMF. Also, the paint has to be grounded - don't know how you do this but this is an important detail.I don't know if the family that did the painting is on this list - if they are perhaps they can post any details. We're going to do our bedroom this month so we can be the guinea pigs and if we get the affects we are hoping, we're doing the kids rooms next. We live in suburbia so we get about 5 neighbors wifi signals in our house plus there are at least 5 Smart Meters pointed right at our house.- ClaraWondered if anyone has used this paint in the bedrooms? Guest guest
Heidi - Have you figured out anything to combat the impact of the MRI? My husband is also very sensitive and had an MRI last week. I don't know exactly the reaction he had - other than he said he was sicker than he has been in months. The only thing that is really helping him is the IMRS pad. Also, for others, in regards to Baubiologie - this is the consultant we work with - www.healbuildings.com. He has been a great resource for us over the years and does phone consults wherever you live if you want to ask some questions. Guest guest
Propolis and Modifilan and Iodine are all suppose to help with radiation. I can't say they work enough, but they help a little. Bacteria have little magnets on them which they use to detect polarity. Since the MRI is a big magnet, I am guessing it flares pathogens and maybe loosens metals in us. It could just be die-off, and respond to stuff you take for that. After a week, I think I was back to my old self, but some people on this Internet have posted that they started setting off alarms and such in the stores due to being magnetized from the MRI. I am blessed I didn't get that reaction. I only did an MRI to rule out brain tumors. I really don't care about the other possible diagnoses since plaque and demyelination are suppose to respond to alternative treatments that I already am doing. The MRI was negative by the way. I used to wear contact lenses and they use to make contact lens solutions with thimerosal. Maybe my eyes shook because they are still full of mercury. Heck, I don't know. I am very NOT happy about all this mercury exposure I have had in my life. Very NOT happy!! Love and prayers, Heidi N > > > I got rid of my 900hz phones because they made me very ill. Guest guest
does anyone know how would you get chicken coop wiring to stick on ceiling? (im trying to get a visual)...and the cork where would you buy that? anyone? channa > > I have heard some complaints about things that block EMFs like paints > and such because the theory is that the EMF's will keep bouncing around > the room, after entering the window or door, etc. There are things that > supposedly diffuse rather than block. Guest guest
i bet those 5 nights alone were worth the price...that is just too bad it didn't last. did you ever try alternating like 5 nights on 2 nights off to see if you could get the same results? sleep has always been elusive over here and much coveted. Roseann Re: Emf protection I have the earthing sheet and the first 5 nights my son slept on it he slept through the night - first time in years. Nights 6 and 7 he still woke up though. > > > > > > After all this discussion about EMFs, I would love to hear everyone's protection input I intend to get a gauss meter to check my son's room, but haven't yet. A canopy is out of the question b/c his favorite stim involves curtains. Someone mentioned that cork may absorb EMFs. I have seen two devices that claim to neutralize EMFs and geopathic stress from Senergy, which may be the most economical, but I have no idea if it works. > > > > > > TIA > > > Keena > > > > > > ------------------------------------
Guest guest
I wonder if you just use it periodically, whether that may make it so he would get good results more often? Tammy F. Guest guest
I spoke to someone at www.lessemf.com. He was really knowledgable about fabrics. He might know about paint and cork. For those that are turning off the power to your house at night, how do you handle the fridge and freezer? Also, there's a mom with a kid on the spectrum that has posted tons of stuff about ems on www.abcemf.com Cheers, mardi > > > > > > I have heard some complaints about things that block EMFs like paints > > > and such because the theory is that the EMF's will keep bouncing around > > > the room, after entering the window or door, etc. There are things that > > > supposedly diffuse rather than block.
