Had surgery on tuesday morning at NYU, got home last evening. Everything went

really well. Apparently my cord has been kinked up in my original defect at L5

S1 and attached to the scar almost up to my skin. Once the surgeon cut through

the scar, the cord fell away nicely and he only had to take off a small bit of

the bone on L4. Recovery is going well, and I'm trying to stay quiet, meds are

helping to keep me a bit drowsy. Thank you all for your support and

information! I'll update again in a few days.

So glad to hear things went well. Was he able to due the surgery through a

scope or open laminectomy? Wishing you a great recovery!

, full open laminectomy, only up one level though. Dr said all the stiches

should dissolve. I'm following up with him next week.
