here in lala land.  Medicare approved and paid only 10%, around $22K of my

$217K

bill.  Cedars ate the rest.

I live in the L.A. area and my Dr. is at USC. And hospitals DO overcharge. I had

my surgery at University Hospital and my bill was $40,000...almost 17 years ago!

The insurance co. questioned it, asking my permission to look into the charges

and I agreed. As a result, the hospital took off $10,000.
