Guest guest
...I think I will do exactly that in exactly that way. I will emphasize there are two issues one of which is increased hunger so she might want to really concentrate on what she is eating (since it does appear to me that she seems ravenous)..I won't say the last part! Thanks again! Randee In a message dated 4/26/2011 6:34:33 P.M. Central Daylight Time, lilacs007@... writes: Oops! For sure tell her. Just bring it up (so you can discuss it).. Guest guest
Thanks, Jackie. My daughter looks to me as if she may have gained a good 50 to 60 pounds. I would love for her to accept the weight in lieu of the pain, but I know it really is my responsibility to share this knowledge with her and let her decide. I am thinking she might get motivated to be very very careful about what she eats and play with the dosage so she too could maybe have an extra 20 to 30 pounds and consider that a reasonable compromise. I don't want her to be in pain for vanity and hate that it isn't my decision LOL!! Randee In a message dated 4/27/2011 9:41:00 A.M. She has also gained a LOT of weight. I know it could be med related (either directly or via increased hunger)...I don't want to tell her it might be the meds. Guest guest
I went down in my dose to 600 x 3 vs. 1200 x3 and I have more control over appetite. My pain is better than it was. BUT I started Savella so I'm not sure if that's what did it. If she has all over body pain I wonder if Savella would be an option? It's weight neutral and I have had really good results in the 2 weeks on it. All the best to both of you Subject: Re: Neurontin and weight gain To: tetheredspinalcord Date: Wednesday, April 27, 2011, 9:45 AM  Thanks, Jackie. Guest guest
Thanks, . My girl plays with her dose between 600 x 3 and 1200 x 3. She mentioned today that " her back is killing her " sigh..I don't want to have the conversation about the neurontin unless we are in person. I am hoping to have time with her alone while she is in this weekend. I hadn't heard of Savella before and am so glad it is working for you. She is on Prozac (an SSRI) vs the SNRI of Savella. Not sure if the difference in Chemistry effects the pain relief benefits .. Her pain, at any rate, is restricted to her back. I am hoping to talk with her about remembering body mechanics as it is easy to assume everything is because of the tethered cord Randee In a message dated 4/27/2011 11:51:56 A.M.
