Guest guest
I can not consume any GMO foods without feeling ill. Thus, I never consume lecithin (usually from soy) unless the product says organic soy or non-GMO soy was used. I actually try to avoid soy altogether. Keep in mind that when you are in the store, foods do not have to be 100% organic to be certified organic. So, pay attention to the list of ingredients to see if the soy and other often GMO foods are specifically annotated as being organic or non-GMO. Guest guest
Hello, what is the connection between phos. serine ( good for brain function) and phospholipids? Is it derived from substances other than soy? All lecithin is soy, yes?To: BorreliaMultipleInfectionsAndAutism Sent: Tue, January 24, 2012 11:38:01 AMSubject: Re: Trying to understand phospholipids I can not consume any GMO foods without feeling ill. Guest guest
Thanks, that's important. Have found that you can use raw egg yolks...not that we've done it yet. I bought an ultrasonic cleaner, added non GMO soy lecithin and water. It tastes interesting. Haven't had any bad reactions that I can see yet. > > > > Hi all, > > > > I'm want to start my son on phospholipids, but I've been researching all morning and my mind is swimming. > > > > Is it better to use phospholipids like bodybio? Guest guest
I've been doing some more research and it looks like there is sunflower lecithin, but it doesn't come in granules which is what I wanted. I'm looking at using raw egg yolks, but haven't taken the plunge yet. I don't know much about phos. serine, but I know phos. choline is also in lecithin and helps with a lot of brain function. > > > > Hi all, > > > > I'm want to start my son on phospholipids, but I've been researching all > >morning and my mind is swimming. > > > > Is it better to use phospholipids like bodybio? Guest guest
Bethany, When we were using flax seed the doctor told me to buy it in seed form and grind it every other day....preground seeds lose the good stuff and some say they are rancid. Guest guest
Thanks, that makes sense. Can you use a food processor? > > Bethany, > > > When we were using flax seed the doctor told me to buy it in seed form and grind it every other day....preground seeds lose the good stuff and some say they are rancid. > > > >
Guest guest
Yep....food processor but coffee grinder or bullet might do the trick better. Flax seeds are inflammatory so watch for tummy upset. I did fine on it and then my son and I started eating a flax cereal and we were like OUCH--could have been the other stuff in the cereal too. lisa
