Guest guest
Allie, My #1 recommendation right now is the Immusist....have you tried it yet? It can help with both increasing immunity & extra energy ) They have the new Natural one now: http://immusist.com/ordering.html A bottle lasts a long time for our kids.... With starting at 1-2 drops 2x day protocol-at 2 drops 2x a day the bottle will last 360 days/12 months. Once you build to 4 drops 2x day (8 drops) the bottle will last for 180 days (6 months)...that's about $20 a month for the Natural product.... Blessings to you!! Guest guest
Grrr...just ordered two bottles of the colored stuff. My son starts hitting on one drop. Don't know if it is from die-off or the colors. Guest guest
J, I'm checking to see if we can somehow swap yours out w/the new Natural....I told him I'd even buy out your open bottle cause we do fine w/it.....I'll let you know off-list in the next couple of days after I've talked w/him further. Let's see if we can't help you figure this out. Blessings, Rita > > > > > > I didn't realize the medication my son has to take for a while, decreases immunity, plus has to stay away from anyone getting vaccines! > > > > > > He already eats very healthy, takes supplements but I am adding in some more for this time. > > > Plus using Thieves oil on him when we go on in public. > > > I added in Vitamin A, more fish oils, coconut oil, black Elderberry extract & chlorella tablets. > > > He cannot exercise, as the medicine makes him so fatigue, trying to get him to go on walks. > > > > > > Any other ideas? > > > > > > Thanks for any ideas > > > Allie > > > > > >
Guest guest
Vitamin D3. My wife takes 10,000 IU a day I use 5,000 IU myself and I am normally healthy. D3 is very important for immune system functioning. We use KAL Ultra D3, there are other makers too. I bet you know someone who has Chronic Lyme and doesn't realize it yet! www.lyme-resource.com > Immune > boosting foods & supplements? > > I didn't realize the medication my son has to take for a > while, decreases immunity, plus has to stay away from anyone > getting vaccines! > > He already eats very healthy, takes supplements but I am > adding in some more for this time. > Plus using Thieves oil on him when we go on in public. > I added in Vitamin A, more fish oils, coconut oil, black > Elderberry extract & chlorella tablets. > He cannot exercise, as the medicine makes him so fatigue, > trying to get him to go on walks. > > Any other ideas? > > Thanks for any ideas > Allie > > > > ------------------------------------ > >
Guest guest
Yes, tried the Immusist this year, my son started hitting a lot while taking it as well. Too much is going on right now, I cannot put him thru anything that stirs him up. Been on the Vit D 3 for years along with regular antiox's, vitamins, probiotics, etc.. So maybe enough is in place for now, until my son gets off this medication to lower his thyroid levels. Thanks everyone Allie > > > > > > I didn't realize the medication my son has to take for a while, decreases immunity, plus has to stay away from anyone getting vaccines!
Guest guest
Allie, Adding CoQ10 and Acetyl- carnitine to my son's diet made a huge different to his energy levels. WE did the OAT test and the oxidative stress levels were high and those two supplements as well as transdermal NAC were recommend and since using them he has more energy. You need to amke sure that COQ10 is disolved in fat(fish oil, coconut oil or butter) for better absortion. He has been taking CoQ10 for a long time but I never disolved it in fat until now and I can tell that is making a difference. Guest guest
Allie, I'm feeling you down right now with these tough things right now... I just went on my knees & prayed for you & your precious son...the pain of what we deal with sometimes just paralyses us...what we need the most is a friend to lift us up... prayed for you & your son...healing, strength & endurance prayed for you, wisdom, knowledge beyond yourself as to what you're to do... just feel I need to lift you up (there are a couple off-list I am also doing this for....I feel this is the most important things we do for each other in times like this....even @ 1p after finishing the off-list e-mails last night I put my knees to the floor asking us for healing & help). Blessings my friend, Rita > > > > > > > > I didn't realize the medication my son has to take for a while, decreases immunity, plus has to stay away from anyone getting vaccines! > > > > > > > > Thanks for any ideas > > > > Allie > > > > > > > > > >
Guest guest
Allie, I did have very bad thyroid issues and that caused me to have low energy levels, but since I have been taking one capsule daily of Dr. Ron dessecated thyroid my thyroid balanced and my energy levels improved a lot. My doctor gave me Levothyroxin and it made me very sick " couldn't sleep as it gave me too much energy " and when she lowered the dose I felt so bad and all I wanted to do was to be in bed all day " But the dessecated thyroid has been a blessing to me as well as going on a low oxalate diet plus high doses of biotin, minerals, vitamin E, Coq10, B complex and fish oil. It is so hard to try to find an answer to our health issues but only by trying different alternative treatments is that we have been able to balance our health issues. Sometimes our doctor made recommendations that made us more sick and it was up to me to research and make changes in our supplement intake and doses, so using common sense and gut feeling has helped me to address many of our health issues that the doctor couldn't. This is just my experience. Guest guest
So I best explain the thyroid issue at hand. Its not Hypothyroid, it's " Hyperthyroid. Which in this case was due to his body hanging on to iodine. Loads of iodine! It was a serious issue that looked like Thyroid storm, landed in the ER, meds to slow his heart rate down, and then bring levels of the thryoid down. I don't know how he did not have a heart attack or stroke from this, but my son must be healthier than his labs show. And thankfully I let him eat as much as he was wanting, because he was burning up calories so fast, he had to eat nonstop for about a month, and still lost a lot of weight. Its taking months, to reverse this; still working on it. Sometimes the cure can be as bad as the illness. Meaning the medicine he is on, lowers your immunity. And already have lyme isssues that need to be addressed, but put on hold for this thyroid issue. I am super concern about his immunity being more surpressed than it already was before the thyroid issue came into play. There have been too many hits this year with other medical issues, that its taken its toll on a very sensitive boy, but a strong spirit. The good news is this will not last forever, as its not Graves Disease ( which I feared at first). And we are soon approaching a new year, with new beginnings. All this will be a learning lesson for me to understanding more about the thyroid. Thank you, Rita for your kind words, and prayers! You are a jewel. Allie PS if your child gets their tonsils taken out, be sure to test their thyroid levels - say a month or so afterwards, even 3 months afterwards. Its still a mystery... > > > > > > > > > > I didn't realize the medication my son has to take for a while, decreases immunity, plus has to stay away from anyone getting vaccines! > > > > > > > > > > Thanks for any ideas > > > > > Allie > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >
