Guest guest
So after a day at the hospital and a healthy dose of radiation, we finally got the definitive diagnoses of my son having a neurogenic bladder. The exact term is " destrusor sphincter dyssynergia. " Anyhow, sometimes he is not emptying his bladder all the way now, so it looks like we will need to cat soon to prevent any kidney damage. The doctor offered the options of biofeedback and a medicine called flomax but thought with his condition he would ultimately need to cath. I'm wondering if we should even waste time with biofeedback. I'm really ready to do whatever we can to manage this with the least impact on our daily routine. In other words, if we need to cath, then I'd just assume go ahead and get started. So my question is, has anyone actually had any luck using biofeedback techniques with a neurogenic bladder?
