Hmmm.. Never heard of this. I wonder how its different, since they move you

around in a traditional myelogram. All the myelograms I've had (3, I

think), they injected the dye, and then had me on a tilt table that tilted

my head up and then down and they also had me roll from side to side. Not

sure what a dynamic one would do differently.

The only thing I could find online about dynamic myelograms was the

following:

http://www.ajnr.org/cgi/reprint/24/8/1711

If that doesn't show the full PDF, it was available for free when I found

it.

Even with my medical education, this article was beyond that. Maybe some of

the RNs on the list can decipher it and post a more layperson summary?

Thanks Jenn. I think it is the same article I looked at. Yeah, not very layman

friendly.

,

I worked as a care provider and in billing/auditing of accounts/charts for

radiation oncology clinics. My knowledge of medical terminology is pretty

extensive. Even if I don't know the word, once I break it down into its

parts, I can figure it out. This is the first journal article I haven't

been able to decipher (granted, I didn't spend a significant amount of time

trying). But, I've also never come across a journal article that actually

required me to have to " work " at it just to understand it. Being lazy, I

figured I'd ask if any of our RNs were able to make heads/tails of it before

I put in some dedicated time on it. If they can't or won't, then I'll work

on it in more detail. I'm pretty sure I can figure it out if I sink some

time into it (if I have to).
