its not about being organic, its about being coated with arsenic or antimony. to fireproff things. it can be organic and STILL have this. you have to have a speicific script staying free of those things

I need to get a new mattress for my son. I recall in the past that Dr. K receommended getting the mattress from a place that requires a doctor's script to insure the mattress is truely organic. Does anyone know of a good source?Also, I know there has also been a concern about metal in a bed. I guess I am just looking for input on what others have decided on for bedding and a mattress (and your experience with your choice) since I have been out of the loop for awhile.Thanks,DB

We purchased organic natural rubber, no metal (springs). There is a wool and organic cotton covering - the wool is used to make it fireproof, so no prescription required. We purchased ours at Lifekind - http://www.lifekind.com/index.php/site_category_product/11/?from=5They were expensive but worth it to us. They are now about 5 or 6 years old and they are in "like new" condition. I really recommend this manufacturer.I need to get a new mattress for my son.
