Since you are not happy with your doctor, now is the time to change. Unless you have a good relationship with your doctor, someone you can trust and have confidence in, you may not get bg's under control. In my opinion, the relationship someone has with their doctor(s) plays a major role in how well they will handle the illness. I know that both of my illnesses (cancer and diabetes) was much easier to handle because of my doctors. Hugs Eunice

You would need to continue to lose after that but many times even 10% makes a significant difference. Even if you weighed 400 pounds, it would only take a short time to lose enough to start feeling much BETTER and lighter and have more energy... And as to your statement about why should you care if the doctor doesn't care? Because the bottom line is YOU are all you really have. Your doctor can support and encourage you but he can't do it for you. You have got to have the desire to feel better and sometimes pain will motivate us to do what we need to do. I'm sorry you are going through such a rough time but a lot of the time, that feeling will motivate us to change. It did me. I will keep you in my prayers.
