My son has been on Elecare since 2004 and only stopped getting it (via gtube) about a month ago. When you say a combo of garbage are you referring to the formula? The meds/scopes/anesthesia? The perspective of Dr. P and company? Did you say that the folks at Cinci picked up on parasites? Which ones? They never found parasites for us, but I think they only check for one or two kinds. Is that right? I am on the verge of abandoning the whole scope thing, but when we scoped at Cinci back in October there was "fibrosis" or the beginning of scarring of the esophagus. Or course, Dr. P recommended swallowed Flovent, but we did not do it. Instead we are trying homeopathy and kind of version of GAPS. My son is coughing after eating, which seems like a sure sign that his esophagus has gotten worse. We have a scope scheduled for March 23rd. On the one hand, I want to see what is going on in there because I'm afraid that maybe his esophagus has scarring -- which Dr. P says is irreversible. : ( On the other hand, I am reluctant to put him through another scope (he has had literally DOZENS...too many to count) because I've heard that there is mercury in the anesthesia. Have you heard that??? And, of course, they use a steroid to help with post-op nausea. And I just hate to give him MORE anesthesia...and put him through the whole ordeal. But I'm really worried about scarring of the esophagus -- seems like that is truly irreversible and perhaps the scope is the lesser of two evils. Can you please tell me more about your experience with EE/Cinci/parasites/etc. You said that things get better after cleaning up the gut. How did you do it? I feel so lost and desperate and could really use some guidance. If you're willing to talk about your journey I would so appreciate it. Maybe we could talk on the phone if that would be easier?Thanks!!! , My son was diagnosed with EE and EE and had too many scopes, elemental formula for years. It is a combo of garbage and the only GI that seemed to pick up in parasites via endoscopes is at the EE center at childrens Hospital in Cincinnati....we cancelled our trip to Cincinnati and cleaning up the gut is a process but it does get better.
