Any one got any ideas on this? Treating for a slew of infections... lots of

strep, bart and pinworms in play as well as some of the usual culprits. We have

been having early waking and more recently alot of mouthing and hitting which

looks like it is due to sinus infections hitting the teeth....but what could be

causing the early waking? I'm kinda thinking that the coptis is either breaking

up some biofilms and releasing gunk or treating the pinworms is adding to the

pile of infections. The mouthing and early waking is out of character for my

kid--he does hit when his sinuses are a wreck and when the sinuses are addressed

the hitting stops.

This probably isn't what you're looking for medically speaking, but my son also

sometimes mouths and grinds his teeth. It's reduced at night when I read to him

because I give him a knobbled little chew tube that is sold on therapy sites.

He happily chews away while I read to him and it really calms him. I think it

feels good to really use a lot of oral motor energy chewing on that as hard as

he can, plus it could be about time for some baby teeth to start falling out.

I've been told by our DAN that lots of mouthing could indicate strep flares.

Have you tried Enhansa?

our early waking, way back when was due to food allergy, in particular, bananas.
