Because many of the types of treatments are not available in the US is is an industry with a lot of fraud. However there is much hope in stem cells but still much to learn. Umbilical cord stem cells, adipose stem cells, bone marrow stem cells, embryonic stem cells and fetal stem cells are used in different places and in different ways. Guest guest Posted January 10, 2012 Report Share Posted January 10, 2012 We had our son do a stem cell transplant 7 months ago ... No One told us it was a cure ... nor did they promise us a miracle. What we got though was nothing short of one ... Our son was 18 at the time .. and it changed his life. He is so much much better now. Speaking more, with much more clarity, starting to read, starting to interact, playing games now, loving books now, has learned to run his IPAD independently, is following direction correctly the first time asked and was overnight ... literally poop trained for the first time in his life. Folks who say stem cells are ineffective have an ax to grind that don't know what they speak about. Sadly the problem is our country has their head in the sand and won't persue legal and helpful medical practice. That just like to put out false info. 60 minutes should be shamed that they focus on the scammers and not the ones who are doing great work! Our son's ASO and DNASE titers fell drastically in the months just after his stem cell transplant ... as a result ... his Pandas has improved drastically ... his insistance on routine has been reduced amazingly. Who is your DAN DR or Bio med DR? And what does he think about all this progress your son has made? I would say based on your son doing one treatment you are one of the lucky ones, most parents do not see that much change in their children. His teachers must be amazed at his progress as well.
