Guest guest
Mason, We starte beta glucan on the 3rd, two days before we started LDM 100. The day after we started beta glucan, my son had what looked like " slapped cheek " syndrome (google has good photos), a rash where it looks like the kid's face got slapped. It seemed to be short-lived, though. He is still taking beta glucan. It may be a contributor to his current rash. He takes Now brand Beta 1,3/1,6- D -Glucan 100 mg, once a day. I tried taking it myself, I got really tired and achy on it. I've decided to wait and use it after I get my amalgams removed. I've read it's something you can pulse. Guest guest
My NT daughter has been on Beta Glucan for about 3 or 4 years. She started on this because via ART testing she tested mildly for lyme. After about 1 year of this, she no longer tested for lyme via ART. We have kept her on it as she tests well to use it as an immune booster (she doesn't test well for those we are using with our other kids for immune boosting). She used to get sick all the time and took a long time to get well. She now does not get sick very often and when she does she appears to have a normal recovery time.I don't recall any reactions when she first started it, but her issues are minor (compared to what the rest of us are dealing with) so she rarely has any reactions. Has anyone used Beta Glucan with their child? Last week someone asked if it would do the samething as GcMAF. I have been reading a lot about Beta Glucan and it sounds like it also activates macrophages. Sounds interesting.

Guest guest
Those that give beta glucans, have you noticed hyperactivity and/or sleep issues? My son has been really good ( more verbal activity and more interaction with his brother) but he has been having major issues going to bed. He normally goes to bed at 7:00, he hasn't been down before 9:00 since we startedTo: BorreliaMultipleInfectionsAndAutism From: mom@...Date: Tue, 17 Jan 2012 13:21:20 -0800Subject: Re: Beta Glucan We give it in a powder form - mix with 1/2 pear juice, 1/2 pomegranate juice. At the time we started this, my daughter didn't swallow pills so I don't know if we specifically asked for a power or it is just what we were offered. I believe her dosage started around 1/2 tsp - we went as high as 2 tsp. She now gets 1 tsp a day but in recent discussions with her doctor, we may be able to stop giving it to her. This is the one we use:http://www.bioimmersion.com/betaglucan.htmOn Jan 15, 2012, at 12:50 PM, Mason Kuhn wrote:Clara,Did you give your daughter beta glucan pills? Guest guest
I think there was initially, but now he does okay. Just an interesting observation, I think that beta glucan supports the liver the same way that Liverlife does. Bethany > > Has anyone used Beta Glucan with their child?
