Guest guest
If an adult or child with autism or LD is forced by circumstances to take psych pharma meds, Deplin can be a godsend. Most people these days seem to be showing signs of the MTFHR break, causing a person to freak out with neurometab reactions with folic acid in food and supplements. This is what Deplin does: This "medicinal food" circumvents the damaged pathway that folic acid aggravates in these cases. Many people report that they can easily tolerate pharma meds with absolutely no side effects with Deplin, whereas they had not been able to before. Other people just take Deplin because for many it gets amino acids and neurotransmitters past the blood-brain barrier for the first time in their lives, giving them a new chance at life with greatly quieted symptoms. People have success with it even when they have not had a MTFHR test of any kind.Deplin is cheapest if bought in a three-month supply from the distribution arm of PamLabs if a doctor cannot or will not order samples. There is no substitute, says my research, a lot of it. It is only a form of folate that does not hurt the neuro/body. Head Psych at UCSF is recommending clinidine first for my son, has anyone used this on their children, reactions they had, affect it had good or bad, dosage etc would be greatly appreciated, I am really nervous about it but my sons psych symptoms have gotten so severe that we are homebound for past year, fears/phobias/startle response/OCD/rages are just unbearable... all the treatments so far for PANDAS/PITANDS (although I could do more antiviural somehow), lyme/bart/bab have not helped thus far and the antibiotics made these symptoms so much worse... also looking for good psych/therapist to help us with cognative behavioral therapy/emotional support for him/us... the 7 ABA programs we have had over the years have been useless in this area.
