Guest guest
I received an e-mail informing me that my manuscript Long Term Antibiotic Therapy May Be An Effective Treatment for Children Co-Morbid With Lyme Disease and Autism Spectrum Disorder was accepted at the peer-reviewed medical journal Medical Hypothesis. I think it's important because there have been multiple paper published regarding how Lyme disease could impact children and some anecdotal papers about how some parents claimed kids improved with antibiotics. But, my paper is the first one (that I know of) that looked at a group of kids with Autism, tested them for Lyme, assessed them before antibiotic therapy began, and assessed them after antibiotic therapy. I get the proofs in 8 weeks and hopefully it will be in print shortly after that!

Guest guest
One thing many of us may not be aware of, and I do not know all the list of antibx's that have this action in the body. There are some antibx's that chelate metals out. So I think that could be another " Key " to many people improving on antibx's, during long term lyme treatment. I would think it also is a big help to use binders and Probiotics to keep the body healthy during this process. This is not even listed as a benefit with the antibx. ~ it would require another pass thru FDA to add that to the indications and uses for certain antibx's. Many DR's are not even aware of this information and would think you have lost your mind. I only heard this recently at the NYC conf this month. It seems it could be really helpful for those children where mercury was passed on by their Mother, and all those lovely loaded mercury, aluminum vaccines. Guest guest
I have also read that some ab's help to reduce inflammation as well. Guest guest
I can't wait to read it!!! Until it is published, Mason will likely not be able to show it to others. There are lots of very strict guidelines when it comes to publishing in science journals. We can wait impatiently a few months, hopefully not much longer. Let us know when we can spread the news far and wide and take copies to our local docs. I have started research here and there, but always kind of stopped due to not wanting to do it by myself. One thing that seems to interest me a lot is why Lyme makes some disabled and some barely ill. It seems it has to do with mercury, but maybe other reasons as well. For my family, tickborne infections seems to be the cause of our many diagnoses. I actually feel lucky, since we know the cause. Love and prayers, Heidi N you update us on where this is!> I would LOVE a copy of this for my records for what we are doing!
