hi Sharyn,

you will find so many really truly supportive people with a mine of experience and care.Sounds great to be off abx (antibiotics) for that long - I don't think I've ever made it.  Now I have combination of saline nebs (6% works for me) and SmartVest I've gone 7 months not only no abx but well enough to get a bit fitter, start having something called a life again, after 10-15 years of really being mostly unwell.Maybe ask about using saline nebs (you need a nebuliser & compressor, Pari Neb is good quality).I am happy to send you a great article to your private email address which will give you good insight into other aspects of bronchiectasis - eg sinusitis, reflux, arthritis .....  Then you have the possibility to formulate good questions to go for your re-evaluation (which I think would help if it's been a while) and more so if you know things are changing within yourself.  Bronch is a progressive disease but can be so much better managed if keep up with it!  Keeping ahead of it .... well, now, that's a real trick!cheers,Joy (from Oz)

Hi Joy,

I am new to the group. Could you forward the article to me as well please? I

would appreciate it very much.

I was diagnosed with bronchiectasis 8 months ago. I am a South African. So glad

I discovered this group. I only use Foxair inhaler and Singulair tablets. I stay

close to the coast which is very humid and my home is very old.

You all are talking about a lot of mucous but I can't get anything out. Not sure

if I have to do somthing to get rid of it. I had a hiatis hernia repaired. I

also had chronic sinusitus.

I must say I feel like my life is placed on hold. Will I feel like this for the

rest of my life?

Greetings

Hester
