Guest guest
I'm not so sure (READ: question in my own mind)......however, I have wondered this myself. But if that was the case (not saying it isn't, but leaving room open for discussion), wouldn't there not be soo many repeated Detetherings? There isn't really treatment for Arachnoiditis, is there? I've never really been able to find a good answer on what is the difference between the 2 or if they are really one in the same. Guest guest
Isn't Arachnoiditis an inflammation of the arachnoid layer and not scar tissue? Guest guest
Arachnoiditis is not the operative term for scar tissue. Arachnoiditis is the inflammation of the arachnoid membrane (arachnoid- = arachnoid membrane; -itis = inflammation). Adhesive arachnoiditis is when the spinal cord and/or nerve roots become become stuck to the spinal cord and/or nerve roots. It is different from the scar tissue caused by untethering surgery. There is no cure. Jenn > > > I'm not so sure (READ: question in my own mind)......however, I have > wondered this myself.
