Guest guest
Today when I listen to Goenka CD of guided meditation. " all things changes, nothing permanent " . I suddenly got realization why put the leaves on the stream, and let it flow. Because everything is changing, changing, nature, people, life, situations, pleasure, pain, emotion, thoughts all keeping changing, It's the nature law. But our mind tend to fixed on certain things, like past, like pain, due to habitation response, we search the flaws and stick our awareness to it, This is opposite nature law, Therefore we create suffer and misery awareness/mind shall follow the nature flow, from moment to moment. nature is equal for every event, rains and sunshine, when sunshine comes, look at the sky, it completely forget the rain, to treat everything equally, and follow nature. It's interesting to watch the flow of mind....
Guest guest
thank you for your post, your beautiful thoughts have certainly helped me be aware of 'how much more' that leaves excercise can mean to me, help me become present, mindful and grateful. I've been meditating for years, yoga, tai chi, medications, etc--all of them only off and on, --I have been able to use the leaves meditation on a more regular basis than anything in the past. I haven't been watching the flow of the mind, I have just been quickly trying to empty my mind, and hope there are enough leaves to fill up and that the water will keep flowing......Wanda > > Today when I listen to Goenka CD of guided meditation. Guest guest
Jess, sometimes the way you use words is so very delightful! I love this phrase, for example: "we search the flaws and stick our awareness to it". Sticking out awareness to flaws is the perfect way to say it - and I will remember that because it is unique! Love that.
