Guest guest
My Dear Lou, Helena & Stan :-) Jazakallah khair for the kind words, and i have truly missed u guys & reading all ur posts here & missed hearing about all the progress going on in ur lives, which no doubt there has been for all of us here, whether that progress looks like experiencing the joys of moving a step forward or simply 'awarenessing' the pain that hits us when we move a step backward, that's all progress none the less. coz even though a bad choice/ repalse/a step back, so to speak, causes much pain & suffering, that suffering could eventually lead us to 'awakening', once we can bring 'presence' to it. which would mean ultimately there is no such thing as mistakes, there's merely learning situations:-) About the groups, it's been an interesting learing expereince being a part of other support groups (cbt), including relgious ocd groups run by pastors, as i have always believed that every human being can teach us something, regardless of differences. My foundation is and will always be ACT, & i made clear in every list that my purpose was not to prove to their members that 1 treatment is superior to the other, but to find similairites, & learn about some of their coping skills, & c how it would work if some of my act coping skills could be incorporated into their action plan (ERP). i will talk about that more later. sorry i gotta end now, am in the middle of a move, packing up, selling furniture, also starting skool, and joined another public speaking training led by a john maxwell coach, aside from the 2 clubs i am already in, and as usual my 2 lil rascals (boyz) always keep me on my toes. so basically these days i'm a hamster on the wheel, actually more like a 'mindful' hamsper who has now learnt to 'hurry slowly' ;-) take care guyswasalaam:-) -K Designs."" Guest guest
Mindful hamster is very funny. I don't know about no such thing as mistakes and it's all progress nonetheless, but it's true for me I've made many choices that were not in my best interest and I do have sadness there around that from time to time. And just allowing that is huge. And yeah, if I'm paying enough attention and allow enough kindness and grace to enter as I move forward with the pain of regret, I may be fortunate enough to learn a thing or two along the way. Or come across kind people like you who remind it's about carrying on with the next best thing. kind regards, terry > > > My Dear Lou, Helena & Stan :-) Jazakallah khair for the kind words, and i have truly missed u guys & reading all ur posts here & missed hearing about all the progress going on in ur lives, which no doubt there has been for all of us here, whether that progress looks like experiencing the joys of moving a step forward or simply 'awarenessing' the pain that hits us when we move a step backward, that's all progress none the less. coz even though a bad choice/ repalse/a step back, so to speak, causes much pain & suffering, that suffering could eventually lead us to 'awakening', once we can bring 'presence' to it. which would mean ultimately there is no such thing as mistakes, there's merely learning situations:-) About the groups, it's been an interesting learing expereince being a part of other support groups (cbt), including relgious ocd groups run by pastors, as i have always believed that every human being can teach us something, regardless of differences.
