Guest guest
Does anyone with TCS have a problem with dropping things? Lately I can't seem to hold a pen or fork for long without it just dropping out of my hand. I haven't been able to find that as a symptom, but then again, I can't find a source for many symptoms for untreated but symptomatic TCS. Even though I have had surgery, I am rethered and can't have any more surgery, so I am in the same position as never having been treated. I also have numbness in my right arm and my right little finger, but I suspect that is from using a cane all the time. I don't have numbness in the other fingers though, so I don't understand the inability to hold onto things. Another newish situation is severe drowsiness. Many days I nod off numerous times at work and am afraid to drive. At first I thought it was my medication, but I have been taking the same dosage of Oxycontin for over six months (60 mg every 12 hours) without that happening. Just in case that was the problem, I stopped taking it in the morning and just take 15mg of oxycodone every 4 hours until I get home from work. That didn't solve the problem. I need to find a solution for this soon. I'm having a hard enough time holding on to my job. Sleeping through it is frowned upon. (I'm trying to keep my sense of humor.) Thanks, Patsy
