Guest guest
Thank you, however I don't understand why I am prescribed each time with VFED which is an anti-fungal and is very effective? EILEEN Subject: Re: NebulizerTo: bronchiectasis Date: Monday, April 4, 2011, 11:39 AM Hi Bronchiectasis Friends............I wanted to report to you all about finally being on a nebulizer. We returned to Iowa on March 20th and I saw my pulmonary Dr. last week. I walked into his office with all the info I received from this website and started to talk to him about nebulizers etc. He agreed to get me started so I have the Pari nebulizer with an Ipratropium Bromide 0.5 mg. and Albuterol Sulfate 3 mg. solution. So far, I haven't noticed a great deal of difference.......have noticed a dry throat and am getting headaches in the morning but don't know if that is due to the solution (probably being back in the cold IA weather!). Really wish he would of put me on a saline type of solution but this probably will be trial and error to find out what works the best. Question: Have any of you used the Ipratropium Bromide/Albuterol Sulfate solution? He also did a sputum culture and his nurse called to tell me I have pseudomonas and the Dr. said that Levaquin will work on that........so I told the nurse to ask the Dr. why I can't be on a rotation of Levaquin-Septa-Azithromycin so that I don't become resistant to Levaquin. The Dr. was not in the day she called me, so she said she would ask him when he comes in???? Communication with Drs. - I don't understand it. I am sure he will say just stay on Levaquin as long as it is working. I haven't started Levaquin again (I've been off for 3 wks. now). Am going to try and get "everything out" to stay on top of it. Will take my temp. at night so if I start to run a low grade fever - will then get on the antibiotic. Joy fom Oz- so very sorry to read about all your water problems. I pray things will get better for you SOON. Joy from WI - How did your visit to Mayo turn out? I hope they were able to help you. e - How is little Sammy doing these days? Am sure you are anxious to get to Rochester for an evaluation. Spring is starting to happen here in IA. The only bad part is that the deer ate all my tulips that were starting to grow! Guest guest
Do you also have aspergillus? It would be prescribed for that. I have not heard of it being prescribed for pseudomonas, nor could I find anything online about such use.Sent from my iPadSuzanne R Brown Thank you, however I don't understand why I am prescribed each time with VFED which is an anti-fungal and is very effective? Guest guest
So sorry...my error. When I got home I researched my medical records and I had an Aspergillus infection. That's why I was on VFEND.
