Jenn, here is the email I did send out, it was not mean't in any way to deter

members from discussing concerns on the board, but more so a kind reminder of

things to keep in mind when discussing meds etc. This email was in no means sent

to " scold " others. If there are members who have concerns about what I discussed

please email me off list directly. The list during the summer does get slow,

just to note.

Dear List Members:

When posting about medications, please be careful. We are not doctors here and

as such can only relay information based on " personal " experience. But, as such,

in reviewing recent posts and replies I've seen a growing trend of group members

-- " telling or recommending " to others not to take certain meds, narcotic or

not, because " they will not work. " I respectfully request we refrain from this.

What works for one individual may or may not work for another. In telling

another member, " i.e. Percocet or Advil " doesn't work so don't take it, we are

limiting members options and access to resources and information, that in the

end, may indeed be helpful. IN THIS SAME VAIN, PLEASE DO NOT SOLICIT OTHER

MEMBERS TO TAKE MEDICATION, ESPECIALLY NARCOTIC MEDICATIONS. We are not doctors

or medical professionals and to continue on in such fashion when we are not, may

cause physical and mental harm to others.

Please from here on out, refrain from such practices. If I continue to see such

recommendations, further moderation may be taken. Please see me off list with

any questions or concerns.
