Guest guest
How many employees are at this company? Re: WORK  HI Everyone,So we have gone over this topic in detail, and I am looking for a new job because of things going on here... In the meantime I am having some unacceptable issues. My boss is constantly harassing me, not keeping his word etc. I was just praised 2 weeks ago for the great ideas I have, and that he would love to see me in marketing (which I was supposed to come back to after surgery) but he needs me in sales full time (I went PT for 2 months). Then last week he called me into his office and told me what a terrible employee  AND person I am. Apparently I am a hypochondriac (who cares about the tests!!!), a very negative person, I sit on the phone all day making personal calls, I talk about him behind his back (!!!)... on and on for 2 hours. I am so sick of feeling powerless! NONE of those things are true.. everyone in this company goes and does whatever they want. For example the coworker I sat next to would get 23 personal calls a day.. (I counted), the woman next to me is constantly speaking German and laughing like crazy for hours on end during personal calls. For some reason it is only me who is doing these things, and I need to improve or get out! BUT he wants me back full time ASAP... I am confused, hurt, pissed off.... the things that he said... well I really just want to kick him in the chin for all this. Should I sit down and have a conversation.. stating that I have a DOCUMENTED medical condition, and that I do not do any of those things? Also that my laptop sits on cardboard boxes and I don't have the chair I need and headset that was promised to me? Nevermind the " work from home " marketing position I was supposed to start January 2nd. I also don't know how to handle this from a perspective of looking for a NEW job... Should I look into discrimination and constructive firing?? Last lawyer told me to go to EEC but I am freaked out by it. I can't even call my mom and dad, dad is having surgery on the 13th! He is watching me like a hawk.

Guest guest
You're still protected from discriminatory practices. http://www.eeoc.gov/facts/ada18.html Document every bit of praise you get. Ever word of it. If you have it in email, keep the emails. Print them out with the headers intact to prove who sent them, then forward a copy to a private account so he can't have them deleted from a work server. You might want to contact an attorney skilled in ADA law. Oh, and 15 is the magic number, as of 1994. " all employers, including State and local government employers, with 15 or more employees after July 26, 1994. Guest guest
, Have you tried to get your MD to give you a referral to Vocational Rehabilitation? They can often work with you and your employer. They may also be more successful at getting your employer to understand your condition. Also, many times they will cover the expenses of any equipment you need to do your job. Their goal is to keep people employed (or get them employed) and off SSDI. So, they have an incentive to keep you employed. I would also do as suggested and keep those emails (good and bad). If your co-workers are also not doing their job properly or doing non-work activities on the clock, I would keep a detailed log (such as when your co-worker started her private conversation on the phone and when it ended - every time. Granted, from your description, keeping such a log could be a full time job in itself). Best of luck! Guest guest
Thanks.. I responded sort of in my other e-mail.It has been a very difficult year for me trying to keep this position, even though I am a great sales person things have been slowly slipping here. I did speak to vocational, and my physician also got involved. My clinic offers job restructuring... but none of that worked. I even went part time, taking a bit of a pay cut.. and after 2 months of successfully doing that was hounded almost daily about my full time schedule LOLIt just got nuts.. Oh my coworker has been trying to get out of here too.. she is a bit of a whiner and likes to include everyone else in misery.. I bet she will be seething when she hears I am leaving! Appreciate you responding > ** > > > HI Everyone,So we have gone over this topic in detail, and I am looking for > a new job because of things going on here... > In the meantime I am having some unacceptable issues.
