Guest guest
Hi, Does anyone have incredible nerve pain in their heel? I was told this is the sciatic nerve that is effected. When I stand 1/2 foot on carpet, 1/2 on floor I feel it, and also with PT- we do stretches and when they push down on my heel I usually scream. Does this get better? I feel like it's causing a lot of the leg pain I have because I irritate it by standing. Thanks!
Guest guest
yup, i've got heel pain too. I didn't initially think it was sciatic pain, because it showed up so much later but that's what it is. I'm hoping that will simmer down during recovery. it was nice not to feel it for the first day or so :-). I had no success with stretching anything during pt. every stretch we tried just irritiated my nerve more. the heel pain had me a bit worried more initially because i was afraid of throwing my walk off even more than it was.  Subject: Physical Therapy- Pain- Nerve To: " Tetheredspinalcord " <tetheredspinalcord > Date: Thursday, April 28, 2011, 9:52 AM  Hi, Does anyone have incredible nerve pain in their heel? Guest guest
I do also. I thought it was due to achilles tendon being so tight. > > Hi, > Does anyone have incredible nerve pain in their heel? Guest guest
, It can definitely be caused by injury to the sciatic nerve. As to whether it will go away, only time will tell. But, meds for neuropathy should help manage it. Jen On Thu, Apr 28, 2011 at 9:52 AM, Dybowski wrote: > > > Hi, > Does anyone have incredible nerve pain in their heel? Guest guest
:    You are not alone. I have pain in my left heel/ankle. It has been attributed to sciatica. The parasthesias I have mean that sometimes I cannot tell if the pain originates in my heel/ankle or in my butt. It's annoying, but I do not take any pain meds. This sciatica was present pre-op and is worse 15 months post-op. ________________________________ To: Tetheredspinalcord <tetheredspinalcord > Sent: Thu, April 28, 2011 6:52:23 AM Subject: Physical Therapy- Pain- Nerve  Hi, Does anyone have incredible nerve pain in their heel?
