Guest guest
I am taking Cymbalta, 60 mg daily. Â It does nothing for my nerve pain, but it does not cause weight gain. Â In fact it is known to cause weight loss. Â I. have lost half the lbs that I had put on post-op ________________________________ To: tetheredspinalcord Sent: Sunday, October 2, 2011 4:05 PM Subject: Re: Every Other Day Fast ..anyone heard of this? (EODF) & spinal cord ... Â Thanks, Michele. I believe Remeron is similar to Cymbalta which she just started taking at the highest dose. I believe they are more successful for muscular skeletal pain but I certainly may be wrong on that. I will research it though and many many thanks. Randee In a message dated 10/2/2011 9:52:03 A.M. Hello Everyone, My daughter went to a physiatrist hoping he would have some magic thoughts regarding pain meds that would not increase her apetite..he didn't But he did recommend among other things a one or two day partial fast..ie from 1PM til the next morning not eating at all. It apparently has been said to jump start the immune system, maybe help nerves etc. I don't know that she will do it but curious if anyone else was familiar with this. He does it himself and suggested she try it one day a week. I think it may come from a Buddhist tradition? Guest guest
Great to hear this, . I do hope it helps curb the increased apetite that the neurontin/lyrica causes!
