TImentin is a form of penicillin. I have no idea why the hospital staff refers

to it as " chemo " .

One of the side-effects (according to online info from the drug manufacturer),

is bruising and bleeding. It says one should immediately notify ones physician

if this occurs.

I'm assuming you've talked with your doctor about this.

As to the heparin flush causing bleeding/excess bruising - again the drug web

site says to inform your physician if this occurs - they may choose to use less.
