Guest guest
Does anyone on this site have Rheumatoid arthritis besides bronchiectasis??? It hit me over night. I am having a lot of pain. The real problem is the medicine. They don't have a lot to chose from because of the bronchiectasis. The Rheumatoid Doctor wanted to put me on prednisone and my lung Doctor told him no. I ended up taking hydroxychloroquine 200mg 2x a day. I have been on this for two months and it hasn't done anything. They want me to stay on it for another month before changing it. I didn't realize this disease also affects the lungs. It has me very worried as I am on a Rheumatoid support group and they all have so many problems. I'm on a dopamine uptake, to help cope with the pain levels I was having (stopped me walking this time last year, lucky I'm improved now). I still have pain but am on far less pain- killers than I was last year.Don't really know if it's making a difference, but decided to stay on it until at least after settled in - no more hassles, no more lugging, lifting etc. Nearly there.I don't think it's something to feel ashamed of - I did get annoyed with Drs harping on about having depression/anxiety problems so I said ok, verify if this is so (was given tests by psychologist, no clinical depression/anxiety), if not, concentrate on the reason I'm not feeling too bright ie being ill from infx. That cleared things up heaps, and helps focus on the real issues - lungs, infx, s/e, etc.joy h
