Guest guest
hoping someone can help decipher this. " there is a small meningocele at the L5 level, which extends at least to the level of the posterior elements, with soft tissue and probable sinus tract into the overlying subcutaneous fat with its tip approx 4 cm deep to the skin, and with the suggestion of overlying sacral dimple. " MRI report said " there's a small fluid collection extending into the deep subcutaneous tissue at the level of the spinal dysraphism which may be contiguous with the thecal sac. It is difficult to determine if this is contiguous with the thecal sac but may represent a small tongue of dura extending into this region. There are some branches of the cauda equina seen near the defect at the lumbosacrial junction " I know what the cauda equina is and I know what a spinal dysraphism is but the rest is ???????? I had the CT scan done basically to rule out any structural defects which it basically states, as does the x-ray I had done. thanks for any help.
