hi Ann,

no, but they are Latin. I'm more or less used to them cos did

nursing training in my 20s, and have studied some Botany which uses

old Greek as well as Latin.

eg: #1 - named after someone. It's original name Chryseo relates to

its colour possible (chryso - yellow, gold), then meninges, and septic.

#2 - chromo = colour of the bacterium when stained to ID, turn violet.

#3 - related to Psa-monas, the rest - don't know!!
