Guest guest
hi Joan, we recently had our first day of winter - we're south of, but fairly close to the equator, winter/summer days vary by one hour if that. Our 'winter' (dry season) usual temps are 60+F to 75F, low humidity (50-60%) clear, bright sunny days - perfect classic Cairns weather tourists come for. Then cane-burning starts soon, and bushfires quite often. It's too cold to use our costly swimming pool! - til probably around September or later. cheers, Joy

Guest guest
hi Joan, I'm probably more ignorant of most of US, even Ca seems to have variety of dry or more humid areas,... not sure! Unless you're interested in Cairns as a tourist it's not a place you're likely to hear much about! Just a small town on the northern east coast of Australia... joy
